  • Date lodged: Thursday, 28 September 2017
  • Motion reference: S5M-07985

That the Parliament acknowledges the recent report, Gender Matters Roadmap – Towards Women’s Equality in Scotland, by Engender; welcomes the recommendations of the report, which state that unpaid care work carried out by women is deserving of recognition; supports the call for more female representation in politics and the media to ensure that voices are heard on equal levels; notes the recommendation that women should have a safe, dry and comfortable place for them and their children to sleep and with enough money to provide for them; supports the aim to build on the work of previous generations of Scottish women who advocated for women’s rights, and further supports the vision of all women in Scotland having more access to power, resources and safety by 2030.
