Congratulating Lanarkshire Deaf Club on Big Lottery Funding

That the Parliament congratulates the Lanarkshire Deaf Club on receiving £10,000 from the Awards for All Scotland programme; notes that the Lanarkshire Deaf Club, which is based in Motherwell, was formed in 2003 and began with 44 members and now has over 200; further notes that the club is a volunteer-led organisation that provides advice and support for deaf people in Lanarkshire; understands that the club recently moved into a new permanent base and that the grant will be used to pay for a range of equipment to help it expand the services that it offers, and wishes the Lanarkshire Deaf Club all the very best with its endeavours.
