That the Parliament congratulates the community of Johnshaven and the Johnshaven Fish Festival Management Group on holding their annual Johnshaven Fish Festival on 5 August 2017; understands that the festival involved a variety of organisations from the local community coming together to sell local produce, jewellery and crafts, as well as local musicians performing live on stage, including the local pipe band; further understands that the highlight of the day was the annual Raft Race, which was won by Charlie Wright, Kevin Dunbar, Scott Beedie and Michael Knowles, who formed The Lobsters team; acknowledges that all the profits from the festival are gifted back to the community to benefit various local organisations and sports groups, and wishes the community of Johnshaven every success for the future.
