That the Parliament congratulates Barnshaw Steel Bending Ltd on achieving 23 years of trading in Hamilton; notes that its parent company was established in Tividale in the West Midlands in 1969 by Russell Barnshaw and has since established plants in Scotland, Coseley, Manchester and, more recently, Poland, which make spiral staircases, multiple coils for heat exchangers and induction, as well as bending and shell plate; acknowledges the expertise of the workforce in Hamilton that has contributed to the steel in renowned attractions and buildings such as the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, the Angel of the North at Cumbernauld, the Glasgow Transport Museum, the tubular trees at Heathrow Terminal 5 and the Arcelormittal Orbit commemorating the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, and wishes all those involved at Barnshaws continuing success for the future.
