That the Parliament commends the £1,000 donation from Mactaggart & Mickel Homes Building Communities Fund to Ayrshire’s Break the Silence group; acknowledges that the group provides free and confidential support services to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and rape, as well as their family members and partners; recognises how vital groups such as this are and how important it is to provide a platform for survivors of abuse; underlines that survivors of sexual abuse and violence can be haunted for years, decades and sometimes their whole lives, and pledges to continue the work already done in the Parliament on raising awareness for survivors of sexual abuse and providing inclusive platforms across Scotland.
