That the Parliament congratulates Josh Macrae on being named the Inverurie Young Citizen of the Year; understands that Josh was nominated in recognition of his work on the Inverurie Community Council, Inverurie Youth Forum and Aberdeenshire Youth Council; recognises his role to advance the twinning project with Bagnères-de-Bigorre, including making a presentation to the mayor of the French town in both French and English, for which Josh was presented with the town’s prestigious medal of honour; believes that, as chair of the youth forum, he has been involved in the formation of the very successful Inverurie Youth Café and anti-bullying and road safety campaigns; notes that, as secretary of the youth council, Josh has made sure that the voices of young people in the area are heard; congratulates him on being chosen to switch on the Inverurie Christmas lights on 27 November 2016, and believes that Josh shows a determination and passion for making change happen for the good of the community.
