That the Parliament welcomes the award of £97,980 from Museums Galleries Scotland’s Repair and Adaptation Fund to the National Mining Museum Scotland in Newtongrange; notes that the funding will support essential repairs to its A-listed buildings, improving preservation, accessibility and visitor safety; further notes that this funding is part of £862,488 awarded to 17 museums across Scotland; believes this was made possible through increased Scottish Government capital investment; recognises that the fund supports resilience, accessibility and environmental sustainability in the museum sector, and commends the National Mining Museum for its continuing contribution to Scotland’s cultural and industrial heritage.
