National Lottery Heritage Fund Award to St Conan’s Kirk

That the Parliament welcomes the award of £1,039,773 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to St Conan’s Kirk in Argyll; understands that the funding will support urgent repairs to the building, including renewing the roofs of three towers and addressing long-standing water ingress issues through the repair of gutters and masonry; notes that the project will also improve accessibility and open up new spaces for public use, including the installation of visitor toilets with accessible facilities; further notes that the funding will support St Conan’s Heritage Trust’s plans to expand its role as a community hub and visitor attraction; recognises the importance of this investment in preserving built heritage while enhancing community engagement and visitor experience, and congratulates all involved in securing this significant funding.
