That the Parliament congratulates Whitecraig Gala on being awarded £8,000 by the National Lottery Community Fund; recognises the Gala’s vital role in bringing together the community through inclusive events and celebrations; celebrates the year-round fundraising that allows children to take part with no cost to their parents or carers; notes, in particular, what it sees as the positive impact that this has on on children and young people in the village, who benefit from opportunities to connect, play and participate in community life, and commends all involved in organising the Gala for their dedication to fostering a vibrant and welcoming environment in Whitecraig, including Becka Melrose, Kate Macdonald, Hollie McPhee and Carrie Stanton, who alongside a very small, but dedicated, team of volunteers ensure the varied activities of the whole Gala Week are inclusive and open to everyone in the village.
