That the Parliament commends Aldi stores in South Lanarkshire, including Aldi Cambuslang, for their efforts in redistributing surplus food to local charities and foodbanks during the recent summer holiday period; understands that the stores donated over 9,000 meals to households in need via a community-giving platform during this period of increased demand for support; notes that these donations were in addition to the company’s efforts to support communities via donation points in store and the redistribution of surplus food from its Regional Distribution Centres, and commends the staff in the South Lanarkshire stores for their efforts to make a difference for those who need it most in communities.
