That the Parliament celebrates the 157th Annual TUC Congress, which is taking place from 7 to 10 September 2025 in Brighton; understands that trade union delegates, organisers and members from the North East Scotland region and across the country will be in attendance among the 48 unions represented by the TUC; agrees with the TUC General Council that the Employment Rights Bill represents the biggest improvement to workers’ and trade union rights in a generation; believes that the Scottish Government needs to work proactively with trade unions and the UK Government to ensure that the Bill is delivered in full; welcomes what it sees as the transformative impact that new industrial strategies and public investment, such as the National Wealth Fund, British Steel and the Aberdeen-based GB Energy, will have for workers in the North East and across Scotland, and sends its solidarity to the TUC Congress, and all workers and trade unions across Scotland.
