Employer of the Year Recognition for Lanarkshire’s Lisini Pub Company

That the Parliament congratulates Lisini Pub Company on its success at the 30th annual Scottish Bar and Pub Awards; notes that the Lanarkshire-based hospitality business was a finalist in the Employer of the Year category and was highly commended by the judges for its commitment to staff wellbeing; recognises that, as a family run business, Lisini Pub Company has been operating since 1969 and employs hundreds of people across its portfolio of hotels, bars and restaurants in Lanarkshire, including Angels and The Castle Rooms, Uddingston, The Parkville, Blantyre and Dalziel Park Hotel in Motherwell; notes that this recognition comes from thousands of entries across Scotland’s hospitality sector; commends Lisini for what it sees as its commitment to fair work, staff development, community values and efforts to promote sustainability and reduce environmental impact; acknowledges the legacy of the late Lisa Wishart, Lisini’s managing director, whose vision and leadership continue to inspire through initiatives that include the Lisa Wishart Scholarship; commends the Hospitality Industry Trust, the Scottish Bar and Pub Awards and trade publication DRAM Scotland for helping aspiring individuals in the licensed trade, through their support for the Lisa Wishart Scholarship, and wishes Lisini Pub Company and its employees all the best for the future.
