Routes to Work South Celebrate 20th Anniversary

That the Parliament congratulates Routes to Works South, which is based in Cambuslang, on its 20th anniversary; notes that the charity provides individually-tailored programmes to unemployed South Lanarkshire residents to support them into further education, training and employment; understands that, each year, the charity provides training for over 500 people and supports up to 1,000 people into employment; notes that Routes To Work South offer programmes such as Making it Work for Parents, which is designed to overcome barriers to work, build confidence and progress towards sustainable employment, What I Need in Life to support people facing multiple and complex barriers, and Gateway to Employment, which focuses on building job search skills and connecting people to employers and opportunities; understands that it has recently established a weekly Community Health Hub with local health, social care and wellbeing partners to better link people into essential services to access resources support; believes that, over the past two decades, Routes to Work South has had an immensely positive impact on its clients, including with their health and wellbeing, and, through getting people into work, has bolstered the local economy and benefitted local communities; notes that the charity is hosting two community-based events to celebrate its anniversary and its fantastic work within local communities, and wishes Routes to Works South every success for the future.
