Stage Skool Students from Motherwell Performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe

That the Parliament congratulates the young performing arts students from Stage Skool in Motherwell on their opportunity to perform at the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe; believes that, from 4 to 9 August at theSpace @ Surgeons' Hall, this talented group are presenting Disney’s Newsies Jr, which is a stage adaptation of the movie and Broadway musical, telling the story of the 1899 newsboys’ strike in New York; recognises that Stage Skool has bases in Motherwell and Bathgate, offering performing arts training to young people aged eight to 16; notes that students from both locations come together over the summer to take part in Stage Skool Live, an intensive theatre programme where they work with professional directors, choreographers and musical coaches to stage a full-scale production; applauds the dedication and hard work of these young performers as they prepare to showcase their talents at one of the world’s most prestigious cultural festivals, and wishes them every success in their Edinburgh performances.
