That the Parliament congratulates the Aberdeen wine bar and bottle shop, Mara, on being named by the Good Food Guide in its 2025 list of best local restaurants in Scotland; notes that Mara, which has been based in Thistle Street in Aberdeen’s west end since 2023, and serves Italian-influenced small plates as well as a wide selection of wines, gins and spritzes, was the only entrant on the list from Aberdeen; understands that the Best Local Restaurants campaign is now in its 15th year, celebrating the best local restaurants across the UK that are independently run; believes that being named on this list is a sign of the high quality food and service provided by Mara, and wishes owners Carolina and Ross Cochrane, and their dedicated staff, all the very best for the future.
