  • Motion reference: S6M-18251

That the Parliament congratulates Growing Beardmore on winning the Community Environmental Award at the TPAS Scotland’s National Good Practice Awards on 20 June 2025; understands that the awards celebrate outstanding achievements in tenant participation by individual tenants, tenant groups and social landlords; further understands that the community environmental award recognises successful engagement with tenants or residents in environmentally friendly initiatives; acknowledges that Growing Beardmore was confirmed the winner at the Golden Jubilee Hotel, Clydebank, as part of a three-day annual conference; notes that Growing Beardmore was established in 2016, when founder Rose Dorman approached Link Housing to ask for a small piece of land to grow her own vegetables; further notes that it has since grown into a well-established group with a productive community garden that gives back to the local area; commends the group for this well-deserved achievement, and thanks it for the work it does to protect and enhance the local environment.
