That the Parliament congratulates Elizabeth Prior, from Glasgow, on receiving a special honour at a civic reception for volunteers held at Glasgow City Chambers; understands that the civic reception was held as part of Volunteers' Week to honour more than 100 volunteers from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership and third sector organisations; recognises that Elizabeth has spent more than 17 years giving up her time to help others, making her one of the longest serving volunteers; notes that Elizabeth started volunteering in the spinal injuries unit at the old Southern General hospital, providing company for patients in the evenings, and that she later changed to volunteering in wards 51 and 53 at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and later in ward 56, helping people recovering from stroke; commends Elizabeth for her exceptional contribution and considers her to be truly inspirational for giving up so much of her time to help others, and understands that NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is always keen to attract volunteers to help in a range of services, and would encourage anyone who thinks that they might have something to offer to visit the volunteering section of its website to find out more.
