That the Parliament recognises CVS Falkirk and District’s Volunteering Awards, which took place on 3 June 2025; understands that the recognition of superb volunteers within the local community has been taking place for 26 years, with the celebrations occurring in various forms throughout the years, from afternoon teas and virtual celebrations to volunteer visits and picnics in the park; notes that the ethos behind the awards is underpinned by a focus on recognising the efforts of all those within the community who dedicate their energy and time to making a difference locally; recognises the award winners, including the 3rd Bo’ness scout group, which received the Green award, the Slammanan Action group, which received the Health and Wellbeing award, Liam Landsman of Falkirk Food Train, who received the Young Volunteer of the Year award, John Somerville of Forth Valley Sensory Centre who was named Volunteer of the Year, Bailliefields Community Hub, which was named Organisation of the Year, and Murray McIntyre of Falkirk Foundation Blind Club, who received the Lifetime Achievement award; further recognises CVS Falkirk and District for its annual recognition of local volunteers, and congratulates all those who received awards.
