That the Parliament welcomes the launch of Scotland’s first public school of cricket programme in Perth and Kinross; understands that the sport sessions, led in partnership by Meigle Cricket Club and Live Active Leisure, will be held at Blairgowrie High School during curriculum time throughout the academic year, and that it will help young people to develop and advance their skills within the sport, and supports the principle of the inclusion of this sort of physical activity as part of the school curriculum to assist young people from all backgrounds to experience sports that they will be taught to a high standard, with the potential of individuals reaching the level of regional and national representation.
