Parksprings Care Home Raises Funds for Cancer Research UK

That the Parliament congratulates Parksprings Care Home in Motherwell on raising an impressive £1,145 for Cancer Research UK through its participation in the 5K Pretty Muddy Race on 14 June 2025; commends all the staff, residents, family members and supporters who took part in the event or contributed sponsorship, fundraising and encouragement; recognises the efforts of the care home community in not only raising vital funds but also in promoting physical activity, social inclusion and community engagement; acknowledges the significance of Cancer Research UK’s work in Scotland, where around 32,400 people are diagnosed with cancer each year; notes that research funded by organisations like Cancer Research UK has contributed to doubling cancer survival rates over the last 40 years, and thanks Parksprings Care Home and others across Scotland for continuing to support this life-saving cause while embodying the spirit of generosity and public service in helping others.
