That the Parliament recognises the excellent work of the Breastfeeding Friendly Early Years Scheme in NHS Tayside; understands that the scheme was created to support nurseries and early years settings to promote a breastfeeding-friendly environment and to support families and colleagues who breastfeed; believes that the scheme encourages nurseries and early years settings to adopt a breastfeeding and returning to work policy, to assure pregnant and breastfeeding employees that, should they wish to, they will be supported to continue breastfeeding on return to work; welcomes that the scheme promotes awareness of local services where breastfeeding families can access support and information; understands that, after a successful pilot in Tayside, the scheme is being rolled out across Scotland, and wishes all involved in Breastfeeding Friendly Early Years Scheme continued success as they support families across Scotland.
