That the Parliament congratulates Dr Cathy Hutchison, a consultant nurse at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, on being appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in The King’s Birthday Honours List 2025; understands that Dr Hutchison, who has specialised in cancer care since 1988, is a pioneer of her profession, after becoming the first consultant nurse for cancer in Scotland and the country’s first Doctor of Nursing; notes that she has worked across research, care and treatment for almost four decades; considers that Dr Hutchison is exceptionally deserving of this recognition for her incredible dedication and service to cancer nursing in the west of Scotland, and wishes her continued success with her impressive career.
