That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen Science Centre on winning funding from the ScottishPower Foundation for its Playlist Power project; understands that the award of over £52,000 will be used to achieve the Aberdeen Science Centre’s aims of inspiring the next generation and increasing their knowledge and understanding of sustainability and carbon emissions through a series of fun and innovative activities; notes that the Playlist Power project will bring the Aberdeen Science Centre’s Sustainable Superstars Roadshow to 35 local community events across the north east of Scotland, starting in May 2025, including, it understands, at least five events in high-priority communities, within the top 20% most deprived neighbourhoods in Scotland; understands that this funding is part of £1.2 million that the ScottishPower Foundation has awarded to organisations across Scotland in 2025, helping projects that seek to bring positive change in communities that need it the most, and wishes the Aberdeen Science Centre’s team of public engagement specialists well in the delivery of their programme.
