That the Parliament welcomes the recent announcement that Aberdeen has been recognised as the latest recipient of the Gold Sustainable Food Places award; understands that Aberdeen is the first in Scotland, and the sixth across the UK, to achieve the prestigious gold award; notes that Aberdeen first achieved a Sustainable Food Places award in 2018, becoming the first in Scotland to achieve a bronze-level award; understands that the Sustainable Food Places award is designed to recognise and celebrate the success of places that are taking a joined-up, holistic approach to food and are achieving significant positive change on a range of key food issues, and commends the work carried out by Granite City Good Food, Aberdeen’s Sustainable Food Partnership and the work of stakeholders and partners in helping to achieve this incredible award.
