Burnside Brewery Nominated for Three North East Scotland Food & Drink Awards 2025

That the Parliament congratulates Burnside Brewery, based in Laurencekirk, as it is nominated in three categories at the North East Scotland Food & Drink Award 2025; understands that the nominated categories are Best New Drink Product, for its Lump of Coal festive stout, Most Innovative Business and Rising Star award for Andrew Robertson; further understands that the awards recognise the north east of Scotland’s growing and nationally significant food and drink sector, and are delivered by Opportunity North East in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council; understands that food and drink is Scotland’s largest manufacturing sector, with the north east contributing an impressive 20% of Scotland’s total output, generating an annual turnover of £2.4 billion and supporting over 22,000 jobs across manufacturing, production, agriculture and seafood processing; recognises that Burnside Brewery is an award-winning, independent craft brewery that uses the finest Scottish malt and mountain water in its range of full-strength and alcohol-free beers, and wishes it every success for the final.
