That the Parliament recognises the launch of Right There’s new initiative, Furnish Forward, which aims to support people experiencing homelessness by helping to furnish homes with donated, pre-loved furniture; further recognises that Furnish Forward enables individuals across Scotland to both contribute to, and benefit from, a circular economy model, through donations and purchases made via the newly established Furnish Forward shop; notes that the initiative also raises vital funds to support Right There’s wider work in preventing and alleviating homelessness and its belief that everyone deserves a safe place to call home, and believes that this initiative is welcome, during the housing crisis in Scotland, and that it provides a sustainable solution that delivers both economic and environmental benefits in communities across Scotland.
