Police Scotland Officers in Edinburgh

  • Submitted by: Alex Cole-Hamilton, Edinburgh Western, Scottish Liberal Democrats.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 28 May 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-17674

That the Parliament praises the recent work of Police Scotland, particularly officers in Edinburgh, in tackling the reported surge in serious organised crime over the last few months; recognises what it sees as the need for increased patrols, including high-visibility patrols, on the streets and increased investigations into incidents, which may relate to heightened wider activity across several regions, and commends the officers' acts of efficiency and bravery when coming into contact with these incidents and organised crime groups.
