As an amendment to motion S6M-17652 in the name of Douglas Lumsden (Congratulating Lord Gove of Torry), insert at end "; recognises what it believes is Michael Gove’s distinguished record of public service as a Member of Parliament and senior minister, including what it sees as his reforming leadership in education, justice, housing and the Union, where he consistently championed innovation, high standards and social mobility; congratulates him on recently becoming editor of The Spectator, the oldest surviving magazine in the world, and commends what it sees as his intellect, integrity and commitment to public duty throughout a career defined by principled decisions and tireless effort in the national interest."
