  • Date lodged: Friday, 16 May 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-17544

That the Parliament congratulates Safety Awareness Glasgow on hosting its third annual Day of Culture and Diversity on 16 May 2025; celebrates the pride that it believes that the Govan community shows in presenting and championing its cultural differences; acknowledges the dedication and leadership of pioneer Funmi, who, it believes, is a local hero, supporting new Scots, and is the founder of Safety Awareness Glasgow and Govan’s Day of Culture and Diversity, and applauds local schools in the Glasgow Pollok constituency for following Funmi’s lead and establishing their own day of celebration in their school, spreading positivity in celebrating people's differences.
