That the Parliament congratulates the organisers and participants of the inaugural Scottish Country Sports Tourism Conference, held in Blair Castle, Perthshire, on 2 May 2025; believes that the conference is a key event, bringing together stakeholders from across the country sports sector, including sporting estates, Visit Scotland, tourism operators and rural businesses; notes that Country Sport Scotland is now under ownership of Scotland's largest shooting and conservation organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC); thanks Bell Ingram for its sponsorship; acknowledges what it sees as the role that country sports play in supporting rural employment and economies across Scotland, representing a value, it understands, of £780 million, and notes the discussions held on a sustainable future for the sector, wildlife management, and the challenges and opportunities facing tourism businesses.
