That the Parliament congratulates David McKie, an officer instructor within HMP Dumfries, on being awarded the Butler Trust commendation award that acknowledges the extraordinary work of individuals in prisons, probation and youth justice; understands that he received the prestigious commendation from Her Royal Highness Princess Anne in recognition of his dedication to both individuals in custody and to community projects throughout Dumfries and Galloway; further understands that over the years he has successfully built and maintained a network of partnerships throughout the local community, including Rotary clubs, schools and hospitals, while collaborating closely with the community pay back team and various charitable organisations to support community initiatives, and wishes David continued success as he goes about his exceptional duties in the months ahead.
