Lesley Anne Derks Shortlisted in the Scottish Landscape Awards 2025.

That the Parliament congratulates Lesley Anne Derks on being shortlisted for the Scottish Landscape Awards 2025; understands that Lesley’s submission is entitled "Industrial Illumination", providing a mesmerising view of the industrial landscape of Grangemouth, including the refinery; recognises that Lesley’s hometown of Grangemouth has had a critical impact upon her artistic vision and tendency to favour cityscapes at night; notes that the Scottish Landscape Awards are open to anyone over the age of 16 who was born, is living or studying in Scotland; understands that submissions were open to any media and all styles, provided that the theme of a "strong sense of place or context" is present in the work; recognises that shortlisted works will be exhibited at the Kirkcudbright Galleries from 5 July to 28 September 2025, with the awards taking place on 4 July; congratulates Lesley on the success of her shortlisted submission encapsulating the industrial skyline of Grangemouth, and wishes her the best of luck at the upcoming awards ceremony.
