Albert Fyfe, Unsung Hero to North East Farmers, Wins Agricultural Award

  • Submitted by: Tess White, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 04 November 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-15175
  • Current status: Fallen

That the Parliament congratulates Albert Fyfe, who is from Auchenblae, on being presented with an Unsung Hero Award by the Royal Northern Agricultural Society; recognises that the David Argo Unsung Hero Award is awarded to individuals working in the agricultural sector who merit particular recognition but often receive very little public acclaim; notes that Albert was nominated for the key role that he plays as a haulage contractor, going above and beyond to deliver feed to farmers across the north east; recognises that Albert took over the haulage business from his pioneering mother, Bunty, who continued the business and oversaw its expansion after her husband, Albert Fyfe senior, passed away suddenly in 1963, and wishes Albert and his wife, Elizan, continued success with their key role in the agricultural sector.
