That the Parliament congratulates the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway on its successful annual gala event on the weekend of 11 to 13 October 2024; understands that the heritage railway site hosted visitors and a variety of steam trains for its annual event, which celebrated steam, steel, rail and road, including a vintage locomotive from the Watercress Line in Hampshire; further understands that volunteers also unveiled British Railways locomotive 2-6-4T no. 80105, a steam train that has undergone extensive refurbishment since 2010 to bring it back into service for tourists and visitors; commends the hard work of the volunteers of the Scottish Railway Preservation Society in planning, organising and executing the event, which showcases and celebrates historic transport in Scotland, and wishes everyone involved all the best for their future endeavours, including their further annual galas.
