That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen Donside-based group Afristyle Dance Club on receiving two awards at the Creative Lives Awards; understands that the group won the Scotland runner-up award in addition to being announced as joint winners of the Celebrating Diversity Award; notes that Afristyle Dance Club was founded in 2019 to promote African culture and diversity, whilst also helping to promote arts and culture; recognises that the Afristyle Dance Club uses dance, crafts and storytelling to help children and young people increase their confidence and learn new skills; understands that the Creative Lives Awards celebrate the achievements of groups and projects providing creative activity for people of all abilities across the UK and Ireland; commends the efforts of Afristyle Dance Club, and wishes it the best of luck moving forward.
