That the Parliament welcomes Sustrans’ report on the impact of the Stockingfield Bridge at the junction of the Port Dundas branch of the Forth and Clyde Canal, which, since it opened in December 2022, has become a key active travel route in the north of Glasgow with over a quarter of a million journeys; notes that the report shows that 95% of route users say that the bridge has increased the amount of physical activity that they regularly take; acknowledges that 41% of users say that the bridge has allowed them easier access to retail; notes that the Stockingfield Bridge has joined up communities in Ruchill, Gilshochill and Maryhill, and applauds Scottish Canals and the Sustrans Places for Everyone Programme for their work with Transport Scotland to deliver the bridge.
