  • Date lodged: Friday, 09 August 2024
  • Motion type: Standard Motion
  • Motion reference: S6M-14067

That the Parliament commends Martin Corcoran for his dedication to the Reeltime Music organisation; understands that Martin has been a cornerstone at Reeltime, empowering disadvantaged young people through music, for over 20 years; further understands that, since joining Reeltime Music in 2004, Martin has provided informal music-making opportunities for thousands of young people, many of whom face significant barriers or disadvantage, helping to develop their personal and creative skills; notes that Reeltime Music delivers a range of activities across North Lanarkshire, all of which are designed in collaboration with partners and participants; welcomes what it sees as the removal of barriers to allow for accessibility and inclusiveness across the cultural sector, and wishes Reeltime and Martin all the best for the future.
