That the Parliament congratulates Troon’s Aldo Cechinni on receiving the Lifetime Achievement award at the Scottish Italian Awards 2023 gala final, which took place at the Doubletree by Hilton in Glasgow on 26 November 2023; understands that Cecchini’s began in 1989, when Aldo and his wife, Morag, transformed the old Penny Farthing in Troon into the first Cecchini’s Ristorante; further understands that, over time, the business expanded to Ayr and that, in 2007, Cecchini’s moved from Troon to Ardrossan; notes that the business is family-run, with son Anthony and his wife Jacqui now at the forefront; commends Aldo for what it sees as his hard work and dedication to the hospitality industry, and wishes him, his family and all at Cecchini’s continued success.
