That the Parliament commends Maaria Aziz from Motherwell on being awarded a Certificate of Commendation from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS); understands that Maaria has selflessly donated her bone stem cells to the charity, Anthony Nolan, after she was matched to a patient; further understands that Maaria was recruited onto the Anthony Nolan donor register through the SFRS charity partnership as a senior pupil at Dalziel High school; notes that the SFRS has recruited over 19,000 potential donors to the Anthony Nolan stem cell register over the past 14 years, matching over 100 donors and patients; wishes Maaria all the best with her studies, and encourages others to join the Anthony Nolan register.
