  • Submitted by: David Torrance, Kirkcaldy, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 05 October 2023
  • Motion reference: S6M-10774

That the Parliament congratulates Kingdom FM as it celebrates its 25th anniversary on 5 October 2023; considers that, for over a quarter of a century, the radio station has provided vital entertainment, news, weather, and travel updates to the people of Fife and beyond; understands that Kingdom FM first broadcast on the airwaves in 1998 from its previous base in Markinch, and has since provided invaluable news on local issues; notes that Kingdom FM serves the community in many ways such as its tireless charity work and community initiatives, with the station hosting the Kingdom FM Local Hero Awards each year, to honour contributions that unsung individuals, businesses, schools and voluntary organisations make to the Fife community, and wishes the station the very best for the future and any endeavours it may undertake.
