That the Parliament notes with sadness the passing of former Scotland international football player Ronnie MacKinnon; recalls Mr Mackinnon’s role in the historic 3-2 victory at Wembley in 1967, in a career that saw him earn 28 Scotland caps; further recalls his successful club career over 12 years with Rangers FC, which saw him inducted into the club's Hall of Fame after making well over 400 appearances and winning the league, the Scottish Cup, the Scottish League Cup as well as a domestic treble; recognises his strong maternal links with Carloway in na h-Eileanan an Iar, to where he was evacuated in the Second World War and later holidayed; notes his role as ambassador for the Lewis and Harris Rangers Supporters Club, having settled in Point after retiring, and offers its sincere condolences to his wife, family and friends.
