  • Submitted by: Kevin Stewart, Aberdeen Central, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 05 September 2023
  • Motion reference: S6M-10315

That the Parliament welcomes the start of work on the Lighthouse Support Centre and Donside Community Church Project in Tillydrone; notes that the renovation works on the former Tillydrone Library and Family Centre are now being undertaken by the CHAP Group, following a Community Asset Transfer of the buildings to the Lighthouse Support Centre; recognises that the Lighthouse is a local charity based in and working in Tillydrone since 2003, providing a range of services and support within the community; understands that the Donside Community Church was launched with an Easter service in 2021, having grown from the work of the Lighthouse Outreach Service in the Tillydrone community, and commends the Lighthouse and Donside Community Church for their work in securing a new permanent home and on their work in the local community.
