That the Parliament congratulates Kevin Forsyth on his retirement from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service after 34 years as an on-call firefighter, all of which have been with Huntly Community Fire Station; understands that his first call out was to a road traffic accident in Inverurie in 1989 and that, since then, he has attended countless call-outs, with the most memorable being the Poundstrecher fire in February 1998, in which he was one of over 300 firefighters called to fight the blaze; further understands that his colleagues gathered to present him with a gift to mark his retirement and thank him for his years of exemplary service; commends Mr Forsyth for his service to the fire service and his local community, and wishes him an enjoyable retirement.
