That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Young Planners Network, organised through the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Scotland, on its 20th anniversary; understands that the network represents over 300 young planners across Scotland; recognises that it aims to address the needs and encourage the involvement of young planners in Scotland by organising conferences and events that appeal to planners who are in the first 10 years of their planning career; notes that the network provides a young planners’ perspective on implementing and operating the planning system, and welcomes its support for young planners through mentoring of licentiates and talking to students and planning courses at universities.
