That the Parliament understands that up to 100 jobs at City of Glasgow College are at risk of compulsory redundancy; further understands that this decision is subject to legally mandated consultation with staff and their trade unions, which is currently underway, on the 45-day minimum timescale allowed under the relevant legislation, and is due to conclude on 18 June 2023; understands that the City of Glasgow College branch of EIS-FELA has put forward alternative proposals for savings and for the future of staffing at the college; believes that the college board should engage immediately and constructively with these proposals and consider them in full before any final decisions are made with regard to proposed redundancies, and further believes that the board should consider the individual business case for each set of proposed redundancies before reaching its decisions.
