Lanarkshire Schools Public Speaking Competition

That the Parliament congratulates Ethan Beggan, Alistair Crombie, Esme McKenzie, Brandon Simm and Olivia Thom, pupils at Dalziel High School in Motherwell, on winning the sixth annual Lanarkshire Schools Public Speaking Competition; understands that the competition took place on 18 May 2023, with Dalziel High School competing against Braidhurst High School, Carluke High School and Trinity High School from Rutherglen; notes that the judging panel included Anne Brophy, partner at Brophy Carey and Co., Graeme McLaughlin, chief inspector at Police Scotland, Keith Moore OBE, chairman of Business Therapies Ltd and Gavin Whitefield, vice Lord-Lieutenant of Lanarkshire; thanks all the staff involved, who coached and empowered their pupils to deliver outstanding performances, and wishes them all well for the future.
