That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeenshire Council on its achievement of being nominated at the Transport Times Scottish Transport Awards 2023; understands that the council's Targeted Travel Behaviour Change Project is shortlisted for the Contribution to Sustainable Transport category, and the Aberdeenshire Bothy project is shortlisted for the Excellence in Walking, Public Realm and Cycling category; commends both projects on their nomination and what it sees as their positive effect on the local community; understands that the Scottish Transport Awards, supported by the Scottish Government, Transport Scotland, Network Rail and the Railway Industry Association, will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow on 22 June; notes that the Aberdeenshire Bothy project has been focused on five Aberdeenshire towns, designated as the "Integrated Travel Towns", including Ellon, Fraserburgh, Huntly, Inverurie and Portlethen; recognises Aberdeenshire Council’s work to promote sustainability in transportation; wishes it luck, and hopes that this nomination leads to even greater success in the future.
