That the Parliament welcomes the news that the UK Government is investing £2 million to improve 23 grassroots sports facilities across Scotland; understands that his includes grants of almost £5,000 for Arbroath Football Club, £126,000 for Forfar Community Football Trust and more than £58,000 for Dundee East Community Sports Club to support work on floodlights and solar panels; notes that the investment is being made in partnership with the Scottish Football Association and that at least 50% of the investment is targeted at underprivileged areas to help ensure as many people as possible can access sports facilities; believes that access to grassroots sports helps to provide physical and mental health benefits, and wishes each of the facilities benefitting from this investment continued success in supporting their local communities to lead active and healthy lives.
