Aberdeen Couple Celebrate 20 Years of Cleaning North-East Coastline

That the Parliament congratulates Iain and Julia House, who are celebrating 20 years of tidying the north-east coast; understands that Iain and Julia have been organising beach cleans alongside the Marine Conservation Society and Clean Up Aberdeen in order to promote a healthy, green city; further understands that the Marine Conservation Society organises four beach cleans per year, involving hundreds of local volunteers from across the city; acknowledges what it sees as the importance of maintaining a clean marine environment and encourages Aberdonians to get involved in local litter picking initiatives; notes that members of the public can organise their own local clean up by contacting their local authority; commends Iain and Julia for their efforts over the years, and wishes them well for future clean-ups.
