That the Parliament congratulates William Kivlin of the Old School Takeaway, located in Mayfield, on winning the Local Hero award at the Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce Business Awards; understands that William established the Old School Takeaway to provide affordable, healthy home-cooked meals for those in need in Mayfield; further understands that the Old School Takeaway also supports the local community with monthly giveaways of vouchers and back to school stationary sets; commends William’s enthusiasm, having established his business plan whilst living in a homeless hostel; understands that William hopes to start cooking classes in hostels to help support those who are currently homeless; applauds William and the Old School Takeaway’s ambition, and wishes them all the best going forward with their future plans.
